The world-famous Monterey Jazz Festival is held every September on the Monterey Fairgrounds site where it was first presented in 1958. The concert began as a dream for founder Jimmy Lyons and his co-founder and colleague, Ralph Gleason. The best jazz people in the whole world playing on the same stage, having a whole weekend of jazz. In 1958, the first Monterey Jazz Festival brought in artists like Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong, John Lewis, Shelly Manne, Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Ernestine Anderson, Harry James, Max Roach and Billie Holiday. Easton St. Patrick's Day Parade

Wednesday - the Easton St. Patricks Day Parade starts at 3 pm. Main Street celebrates this special day with a full agenda of activities. Earlier in the day there are an Ecumenical Church Service and a Traditional Irish Tea. There are children's games and activities on the Talbot County Court House lawn, followed by Irish Bagpipers to lead the Parade from W. Dover up Washington St., down Harrison St., and back to W. Dover St. Always a highlight of this parade, and vying for a trophy, are the decorated golf carts! When weather permits, the final touches to the day are the adult Potato and Brew Races on Washington Street.

Easter Egg Hunt

Bethlehem's recreation bureau held its annual Easter egg hunt on April 4, 2009. The hunt was held at Memorial Pool on Illick's Mill Road and started at 10 a.m. The event was open to children between ages 3 and 8. Just Born donated candy for the hunt. 7th Annual Juried Spring Fine Arts and Craft Festival

The 7th Annual Juried Spring Fine Arts & Craft Show was presented by The Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsmen of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen in partnership with Kutztown University and The Pennsylvania German Heritage Center and was held on March 28 and 29, 2009 at the Kutztown University Field House in Kutztown, PA. Lets hope the 8th Annual Show in 2010 gets here soon.

The IronPigs 2010 schedule is highlighted by 2010 Triple-A All-Star Week festivities at Coca-Cola Park and numerous holiday home games, including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day, the club announced today. The team will open their All-Star season at Coca-Cola Park on Wednesday, April 14 against the Rochester Red Wings. The first homestand, nine games in length, runs through April 22 and includes games against the Red Wings, Syracuse Chiefs and Pawtucket Paw Sox.

Lights in the Parkway Allentown
This drive-through display transforms more than a mile of the beautiful Lehigh Parkway into a winter wonderland with thousands of twinkling lights, animated displays and accompanying music. After a journey through the spectacular displays, visitors can stop by the Gift Barn which hosts vendors selling everything from candies to handmade treasures. This year Lights in the Parkway runs from December 5th - January 4th (closed Christmas). Nightly the lights shine from 5:30-10pm. The cost is $9 per vehicle.
